DryCult® TPC - A Revolution in water-testing!

Orion Diagnostica has launched a revolutionary new product for on-site water testing: DryCult TPC. This is only the start of a new family of products that will be available in the near future.

DryCult TPC is intended to complement Orion Diagnostica's existing on-site Hygiene Monitoring System and to offer our industrial hygiene customers a more versatile on-site monitoring tool.

DryCult TPC consists of a flexible plastic dip-strip covered on one side with a hydro-gel containing a culture medium. When immersed in a water sample, the strip absorbs 1 ml of water. If there are any bacteria within the water absorb, bacterial colonies can be detected on the hydro-gel after a couple of days of incubation at room temperature.

The visible microbial count on the hydro-gel is directly proportional to the bacterial contamination in the sample. DryCult TPC detects microbes with a sensitivity from 1 microbe/ml to 100 000 microbes/ml without sample dilution. Conclusions and corrective actions will be based on local/internal laws and regulations.
