Hygicult TPC was validated in 12 independent international laboratories against swabbing and contact plate methods. The tests found the performance of Hygicult TPC to be equal to that of the other methods examined.

The validation report has been accepted for publication in the Journal of AOAC International (= Association of Official and Analytical Chemists, USA).

The validation states that Hygicult TPC performs equally to the swabbing and/or contact method on stainless steel material.
